Gizzard, do you know what this venue in Yeovil is like? Is it a sports hall-type place, like the one they last played in Gloucester?

Never been there but done a search on google and it come up links to do with sports so I presume it's a leisure centre.. Which is a pity as leisure centre's usually sound shite although I thought Newport and Gloucester last year sounded ok. |

I think it is a sports centre. I'll be in Yeovil on Tuesday afternoon so I'll try and get a butchers. Only about an hours drive from me! Got my ticket today - see what people mean - smart. | ||||||

Gizzard - Im impressed, I wouldnt last 2 mins on a footy pitch. The only exercise I get is going to a handful of Stranglers gigs each year. Thats enough for me and it normally takes me a week to recover after each one ! I agree with you, the Gloucester one was ok despite being a hall. | ||||||

It's a leisure centre for the company Westland - I assume it's in the main hall - should be pretty atomospheric - I dont know what u guys are expecting! I have been there for dances a few times...

Sorry - completely forgot. It's near Asda I think and not far from Yeovil town footy stadium. I passed a pub on a roundabout nearish but not exactly walking distance.... | ||||||

Still do ... www.whl.co.uk/history_overview.cfm Westland Leisure Complex, nothing to do with Westlands anymore, is notoriously difficult to find. It's around the backstreets and then down a cul-de-sac. Nowhere near the Westlands Helicopter factory. See map See the little cul-de-sac in the red circle - that's where you gotta go - see this map There is currently no access to Preston Grove from Preston Road due to road works. You have use the alternate approaches. The venue is more a modern ballroom type place.

Is this a thread about Yeoville? I knew a man from Yeoville, his name was Jason Rowe and he put out a CD under the name Jai in the late 90's. But the last I spoke to him was before he went to LA after he was dropped from his deal. |
