It's awesome "All Nightmare Long" is a killer song & I like it all "The Judas Kiss" next with "The End of the Line" not to sure what to make of "The Unforgiven 3" i think it's about Jason Newstead.
"How can i be lost if i have nowhere to go,How can i forgive you?, If I haven't forgiven myself". I think the knot have just been owned with "All hope is gone" not to sure i'll like anything after "The Subliminal verses". favourite lyrics so far on DM "Bow down, sell your soul to me, I will set you free, Pacify your deamons now".

That lyric sums up why Metallica as songwriters don't connect with me at all. It's so "loud" (excuse the pun!) and "ooh were macho" obvious, here's a better word for you - contrived. It's like you fucking know what's coming next before hearing it, no surprises. But then I guess that's why Metallica supporters love 'em - they don't need to be surprised. I've yet to meet a Metallica fan who can convince me what the big fuckin' hoo hah is. I've heard a big chunk of Metallic'a back catalogue and to be blunt I find it on the whole incredibly dull and predictable. Bands like AC/DC and Motorhead never really change and I know what to expect but I don't find them dull or a big racket like I do with the majority of James Hetfield's work. Infact I quite fancy goin' checkin out the Head again this November. Much more appealing than Metallica.

It's a good album Pidge, been playing it in me car all day. Fave tracks are The Day That Never Comes and The Unforgiven. Loads better than St Anger IMHO.
