Dave's Best Look.

In the sprit of recent Polls, I need an answer to this burning
question; What was Dave's best classic outfit?

That "big hand", J Beadle in reverse, photo on the front of B&W had me wondering for years.

How he could play so well with such a deformed left hand?

To be honest I'd long forgotten about it until now. I would spend half a stranglers gig trying to see over the top of Daves keyboards to observe the big hand in action. I gave up after about ten years.

I believe he saves it for the Heroes/Down-in-one solo these days.

Ha Ha, The Riddle of the Big Hand. We used to have a bit of a laugh about that. Mick our FMH keyboards man got to meet Dave at the Rats Rally in Devon. Mick was a few over the eight and was so pleased to finally get to meet his hero proceeded to shake Dave's hand so vigoursly that Dave yelped in pain. So I came up with the theory that the deformed hand on Black & White was caused by Mick's crushing handshake from the future.

Yeah, Ok I know it sounds far fetched but ........

def the time around 79 when they supported the who at wembley' looked really cool' he looked as if he was in rock super group like' ELP' Deep purple' rather than the Strang's.

Yeah I prefer early 80s minus tash - The nodding dog on acid look on Skin Deep is the best. Wasn't keen on the greasy hair tied back look in the 90s.

Yeah, must admit I also dig this vibe!

Seeing him on Rockstage without the tache was a BIG shock. Nowadays, it would be strange seeing him WITH one. Funny innit!
