Couple of posters on EbayAs I'm moving house soon I'm sifting through stuff which I guess I really no longer need to keep. I'm holding onto a few Stranglers posters I've collected over the years, but the following two items I've listed on Ebay.

Too bad you only post to the UK, otherwise I might have considered bidding on the Feline one...
(On the other hand maybe it's good, helps to protect me from myself.)

Hi Mariet
I can post overseas - been listing a few things on Ebay today and am so tired I hadn't paid attention to the postage thing. If you do bid then UK postage would apply if you're in Europe. It's not as though it's particularly heavy!

Must admit, I never thought much of the "Raven" poster at the time, it was the only poster image I used to see when looking for a suitable poster and it never really hit the mark for me- I always thought it looked like it was taken at a soundcheck and it never showed the band's live impact at all, which was a pity. And, as The Nosferatu rightly bemoans- no Sir.Dave
Must be pretty rare now though.
Question- What image of the band would make a class Poster?

I used to make do with a couple of screenprinted posters advertising the Apollo gigs (A nice black one for the MiB tour, and a dayglow black and orange one for a later gig), a giant wall covering poster for the new album "La Folie", the fold out Poster Magazine one with Dave in his sheepskin and JJ in his bikers and the Beaumont cartoon from the centre of Strangled on me teenaged walls

If I remember correctly I originally bought the poster at John Menzies. Do those stores still exist? Agree, Dave is invisible and you can hardly see Jet. Mind you, that was the only poster I'd seen at the time which is why I bought it. There's no mention on the poster where the image was taken. Still a nice vintage item though - I'm only selling these because I'm going through a de-clutter and I can't keep everything.
I am keeping my Raven and Gospel posters though :)

The best one (IMHO) is the one given free with Live X-certs Jap edition. In fact there is one on E-bay at the minute too.
The B&W JJ mini poster thru' Sounds was also pretty cool

For me, it's got to be the "live" photo from the La Folie album sleeve.

Love that pic, really summed up the band live for me at that time, the "colours" just looked right

Couple of nice German '80's posters on there too, at £9.00 a pop.
See this is back on:
at £100.00 The guys just run off a few copies recently, I reckon.

Exactly !
I find it difficult to find that one on Google Images but another "live" pic that comes very close is the Live at The Apollo cover which also makes great use of the lights around the stage.
Great stuff.

Yeah another vote here for Ava's La Folie photo and the one Paul has mentioned - would be great to have em blown up nice and glossy one above the other. Preferably signed by all 4 members

I don't know. The stage in this pic is way too low for the Apollo. Anyone know where this was taken?

It's iconic isn't it ? Certainly to Stranglers fans. That picture and the one from the La Folie album are the business.

Well, that surprised me. I sold the Feline poster for a tenner and the Raven backdrop live poster went for £27! Sad to see them go, but I'm sure they'll be well looked after.

It might be from the Apollo you know?
Either it's 1. Caught the audience at the very top of their collective 'POGO' or 2. The audience were just about to storm the stage by standing on their mates shoulders who were using stilts

From North America , not Glasgow Apollo , the stage is to low , as has been stated on here already
