Car Boot SalesHas anyone else done one of these?
Mrs. got me up @6.30 this morning to go with her, the spare room has been full of unwanted tat all week, so yeah lets get rid!!
Loaded the car with just about all the rubbish we have accumulated over the past few years plus the obligatory pasting table ( you know the type, that bows in the middle ) 
Off we go, just a couple of miles down the lane to the muddy field all marked out for even inexperienced half-wits like me to follow so we parked up and set up stall.
If you have never done one of these, do so they are the funniest things I have ever done!!!
I didn't know where all the stuff even Sportsworld can't sell goes 'til I saw the Polish workers inthe community walking round in it, I thought Yeah! it's all gonna sell 
Wife tries to sell a stimmer to a guy who wants one but with a longer piece of trim so no good! WHAT!!!! Had a football never inflated some woman didn't want it cos it had a bit of mud on it 
But the best was the stall next to us was selling a normal light fitting with the bulb included for 50p and a guy checked the bulb to make sure it didn't rattle before he paid good money for it.
Mrs tried to sell light shade, the guy asked if we had two for the same price £1 
Finally came away £95 better off and still chuckling over it, but it's 95 quid towards the tour fund so hey ho.
So if you've had a crap week at work and want a lift from human nature
give it a go

Did it a few times when I was 18 and skint - made quite a tidy bit of brass selling a load of games and comics

Yeah I've done quite a few and made some good lucre out of it as well as getting rid of plenty of stuff.

I love them, but haven't done one for years as hubby hates them so much !!!!!
Our daughter is wanting to get rid of all her Barbies up the loft, so with two of us ganging up on him he might have to give in !!!!!!

Done 3 so far this year, made about £400 so far. Would do another one if it ever stops f***ing raining.

Last year I went to one at Castle Coombe race track and there was a guy selling load's of old NME's and Sounds so I went through most of them and bought all the ones which had Stranglers related stuff in got them home cut all the Strangs stuff out then put them what was left in the bin.
