you can only have 10 different options
LAIDBLACKINKENT

Got to be 'Bitching' or 'School Mam' or then again 'Nubiles' ..No hang on a minute it might be 'Wog' no wait i've changed my mind it could be........

oh come on its no more heroes. best song ever. anthem cassic
theraven1979

I guess Heroes thinking about it has to be the one - as it has public appeal as well - This months record collector kinda praises it which is nice!

Skin Deep

Heroes, closely followed by Wog. It's a punk classic mate! Cool

Bitching
ffursbit

Has to be Bitching, closely followed by Dagenham Dave.
theraven1979

I'm glad that a few more people are shouting for Bitching it's underated IMO.

It's always been my favourite, from the first listen. It's a pity it doesn't get a live outing every now and then.

suiprised SBC has got no votes - great track!
Olympic Smile

I dont wanna appear boring but "Heroes" does it for me. Second choice would have been S B C.

I kinda love the way JJ never quite gets the intro right to Heroes every time..........now that would be boring!
Mitch K

Almost went for NMH - The title track is the obvious choice and I nearly fell into the trap.
I remember buying the album in 1978 and the feeling on the back of my neck as "I feel like a wog" literally explodes into life.

Wog - no contest
Texinblack

I would have been tempted by School Mam, but hearing Hugh do 'Wog' live recently has reminded how fantastic it is...so 'Wog' for me.
Cola Can

NMH is a fantastic piece of songwriting - they all come together really well.
Managed to get Wog played ina scholl asembly once..but that's an old story
elminblack

dead ringer.. school mam,,, nubiles.
top 3 hard as it is..
Mad Hatter

I used to love the track No More Heroes when it was first released, but I am now sick to death of hearing it because it has been in the live set list for ever Embarassed
theraven1979

I can never get bored of hearing Heroes - it has a certain urgency about it that is still as refreshing today as the first time I heard it. Hugh has been doing some amazing versions of this in his live set over the last couple of years.

I voted for Heroes. It is a timeless classic that contains everything great about The Stranglers. In my top 5.
PaulinLondon

It never used to be a favourite of mine but I cannot get enough of "Dead Ringer" - such a great, timeless song that would rip the balls off of anything in the charts these days.
Dom P

english towns, "filler track" .. gets me drbbling every time!
yellowcakeuf6

School Mam

I still do that thing with me throat every time I hear it!

Closely followed by Peasant.

I guess my hormones are still pretty adolescent.

Nothing but filth flarn filth!
Tracy

Heroes for me followed by Bitching

yeah don't forget English towns. class
adriana

Toss up between SBC and Heroes. These two tracks are two of the strongest recordings of 77 in my opinion. Dagenham Dave is also a classic (love the Radio 1 in concert version with Hugh's intro). I would say that English Towns is a much underrated track... the band considering it to be filler. Burning Up Time (no disrespect to certain forums!) is probably the weakest on the album.
Freddie Laker

NMH for me - I never get tired of hearing it, and the single was the first Stranglers vinyl I bought in 1977.
Bitching is a close second, though I don't recall ever hearing it live. Confused
PjInBlack

glad 5 minutes straighten out and rok it aint on there cos there also great tracks to make it even more confusing
wadey1
