I guess Heroes thinking about it has to be the one - as it has public appeal as well - This months record collector kinda praises it which is nice!

It's always been my favourite, from the first listen. It's a pity it doesn't get a live outing every now and then.

I dont wanna appear boring but "Heroes" does it for me. Second choice would have been S B C.
I kinda love the way JJ never quite gets the intro right to Heroes every time..........now that would be boring!

Almost went for NMH - The title track is the obvious choice and I nearly fell into the trap.
I remember buying the album in 1978 and the feeling on the back of my neck as "I feel like a wog" literally explodes into life.
Wog - no contest

I would have been tempted by School Mam, but hearing Hugh do 'Wog' live recently has reminded how fantastic it is...so 'Wog' for me.

I used to love the track No More Heroes when it was first released, but I am now sick to death of hearing it because it has been in the live set list for ever

I can never get bored of hearing Heroes - it has a certain urgency about it that is still as refreshing today as the first time I heard it. Hugh has been doing some amazing versions of this in his live set over the last couple of years.

I voted for Heroes. It is a timeless classic that contains everything great about The Stranglers. In my top 5.

It never used to be a favourite of mine but I cannot get enough of "Dead Ringer" - such a great, timeless song that would rip the balls off of anything in the charts these days.

Toss up between SBC and Heroes. These two tracks are two of the strongest recordings of 77 in my opinion. Dagenham Dave is also a classic (love the Radio 1 in concert version with Hugh's intro). I would say that English Towns is a much underrated track... the band considering it to be filler. Burning Up Time (no disrespect to certain forums!) is probably the weakest on the album.

NMH for me - I never get tired of hearing it, and the single was the first Stranglers vinyl I bought in 1977.
Bitching is a close second, though I don't recall ever hearing it live.
