Nothing funny about Hugh's solo stuff
The late Stephen Reid rated Invisible very highly, so do I. Think that's on the CCW album. Sweet Sister is up there too.
Also like Long Dead Train and One Burning Desire.

From that list I'd go for Long Dead Train - loved it when he opened with it on one tour a long while ago and the band came out wearing lights on their heads in otherwise total darkness. Fantastic!
My favourite list would include:
Lay Back On Me Pal
Beauty On The Beach
Nerves of Steel
Irate Caterpiller
Henry Moore
Gingerbread Girl
so many, really...

I always find myself going back to CCW. Saw Hugh at Ronnie Scotts after he left Marque Uno and he was great. And he did a great version of "Holes" that night.
The CCW album is up there with all the other solo offerings.
CCW or BEF for my desert island disc from Hugh........?
CCW would be in the trunk like a flash.

I find it very difficult to choose as I like the vast majority of his stuff. Since its all quite different I like different things at different times. At the moment 'Nerves Of Steel' faetures highly, but the one that is probably most consistently near the top of the pecking order has got to be 'Live It Breathe It'.

I can't believe no-one's mentioned 'Snapper' yet.........?
Tscchhhhk! Call yerselves Hugh fans....

Black Hair Black Eyes Black Suit for me.
Hughs best solo effort IMO and sounds better live than on CD.
Mind you 'Puppets' and '24/7' come close also.

Nerves of Steel
Prisons Going Down
Torture Graden
Under Her Spell (Live)

It's really hard to name a best Hugh track.
However if you asked me to name a worst Hugh track(s) that would be easy as there aren't many!
Apart from Sex Bomb and The Story Of Harry Power I love 'em all.
Don't much care for 24/7 either but it's not as hard to listen to as the two I listed above. (Works well acoustically)
