Not wishing to generalise but I would hazard a guess that most regulars on here have been loyal to the winderful Stranglers for a long long time. By loyal I mean similar to supporting a team that goes through thick and thin (like mine which goes through thin and anorexic).

There were times when the Stranglers upset me with inferior material, especially late in Hugh's tenure and then after he left, but I'm proud to say I stuck by them and I know there are thousands mor ewho have done the same and who have proved it much more than I have.

BUT, like I'm admitting to an affair, there were OTHERS before the Stranglers Some I've stuck by, some I've turned my back on for spoiling it all.

I used to like Human League until they got the girls in
I liked Bill Nelson's Red Noise and most of his early solo stuff but then he went very avant garde.
I liked Thin Lizzy. Still do.
I liked Queen until It's a Kind of Fucking Magic
and New Order really stretched my loyalty to its limit with Blue Monday and Confusion.
