'Ow DoHi all, I have been lurking this site for quite a while now, but finally decided to post after last nights Academy gig.Great night it was too, thoroughly enjoyed the whole occasion - apart from the bar!! Was good to meet so many friendly Stranglers fans in Jabezz Clegg beforehand. Special mention to Thrubeingcool who spotted my Devo T, which led to a rendition of Jocko Homo across the bar and a good exchange of Devo tales. Cheers Fatbusjim |

Hello fellow people regularlyinblack with great taste in music.
I've just joined and can't seem to get an avatar attached as they all seem too big. But I will do it, one day, oh yes. I'm a Leeds based Stranglo and even tho I've seen them a fair few times since 1980 I think it was, I just damned well know there are scores of lucky sods out there who have seen them dozens more times than me. Jealous, moi? Too feckin right. Saw them at Manchester Academy on Saturday and thought it was a superb gig, helped by a nice n sleazy pub crawl from 2pm that afternoon

Thats my gigging mate, Phil Tuneless, who i got introduced to by a casual conversation about.........Devo (am I on the right forum here?). His claim to fame is he used to do a bit of roadying for Four More Heroes, gotta be said though he is a massive Stranglers fan. |

Don't want to get anally Devo here, it is a Stranglers board after all, but Devo played at The Free Trade Hall in 1978. 
The 1979 UK dates were cancelled. The Apollo gig was actually 7th June 1980. 
These are photos of my ticket stubs from that night which I have submitted to The Devo Live Guide. Now get ready for aload of stick about Devo being second on the bill to Alberto Y Lost Trios Paranoias
